You wouldn't know it, but Tokyo isn't known for it's green spaces. Or at least, that's what I read. There are very few large green spaces within Tokyo. And one day, while trying to find a grassy area to hang out and just observe, it took two trains and a long walk on a gravel path with much foot traffic and no benches to get to this open field in Yoyogi park between Shinjuku and Shibuya. But, isn't it interesting looking? It's not even grassy. It's more like a wild field. Everywhere else was groomed to the hilt. But, Yoyogi? Wildish. Hmmm. What's that all about?
