Halloween 2012 | Montana Avenue, Santa Monica, CA

This is the second year I've photographed a random assortment of kids dressed up for Halloween at the trick-or-treat event on Montana Avenue.  I do this for myself.  It truly is pure joy to see the creativity and festive moods.  And this year I had a friend help me and she was just as into it (Thanks again, Lisa).  

I have to mention that the peacock and pink owl costumes were handmade.  Aren't they amazing?  I hope these little wonders give you inspiring ideas for next year.  Happy official start to the holiday season everyone!

Felicia and Ted's Wedding | | Loews Hotel | Santa Monica Beach

It was a Tuesday afternoon...a small, intimate, sweet ceremony ordained by a dear friend.  I love small weddings and I was so touched that Felicia asked me to capture hers.  It was originally supposed to be on the sand.  But, the weather was being a little wishy washy that day.  So, they switched to a small lounge space in the Loews Hotel.  It was perfect.  I was one of only eight witnesses (including two little ones).  Thank you for letting me capture this day for you Felicia and Ted.  Love and congratulations!  I can't wait for the party :)

Sebastian | Broad Beach, Malibu, CA

Sebastian is one special not-quite-two year old.  He had three of us running during this session down at a private access gem on Broad Beach in Malibu.  And I love him more for it.  Sand everywhere...especially in his mouth.  He just loved eating it!  In fact, after he threw it in his face, it came right back out.  Laurie, you're amazing!  And, Brandy, I couldn't have caught these beauties without you.  Thank you ladies.  You are both an inspiration for raising this beautiful boy.  He's such a sweet thing and I had a great time.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Caroline's Day at the Beach-Corona Beach, CA

Last time I photographed Caroline, she was a preemie tiny little thing and we took her pictures at home.  We all know time flies and it did.  Now she's a year old and growing fast.  Even though she's not quite walking, this time we decided to shoot at the beach and she did so well with all the new excitement around her.  We had perfect Southern California weather, low tide, dolphins out in the distance and few people around because it was still early.  We couldn't have asked for better conditions.  And we got some amazing shots with many different expressions.  Betsy, I feel super blessed to be able to capture the milestones of this little munchkin.  I can't wait to see you guys again soon.
