Kaitlyn + Kyle | Orange County Engagement

We found a perfect spot at a park in Orange County that allows dogs and gave us 100% freedom to shoot wherever we wanted. I LOVE that. So, Kaitlyn and Kyle and I enjoyed some time with Mr. Jenkins, their pup, and then Kaitlyn's mom grabbed him and we spend the rest of our time being romantic. You can see the love. Aren't they so perfect together? This superstar couple was so much fun. I loved every minute of this shoot. I was just giddy inside. And there were just too many images that I wanted to share with you. I tried to narrow them down, I really did. ;) I hope you enjoy. (click on any image to enlarge)

New twins and big brother | Manhattan Beach, CA

Welcome Austin and Grace! Born over two months early on Christmas day, I had a chance to spend some time with this dynamic duo and take some pictures when they got home from the hospital after their first months in NICU. They're amazing. I photographed big brother Tommy at two months a couple years back. Big difference, as these two are itty bitty in comparison. So, sweet. So cute. Erica, you amaze me. You too Tom ;)

Heller Family | Santa Monica Backyard

I've known Doug for many many years. We go all the way back to high school...and then went to college together. Geez, the time does fly. Luckily we've kept in touch. Now, Doug has this beautiful family and wanted to capture baby Ezra's 6 month milestone. I was so honored he and his wife Marlyn reached out to me to capture these for them. And their backyard was a backdrop I wish I had access to more often. It all fell into place seamlessly.

I hope the water gun I gave Toby isn't getting him into trouble. And thanks for the bagels and great catch up session you guys. I look forward to next time.

fresh stART 2012 | Fundraiser for LAs BEST | Santa Monica Art Studios, Santa Monica, CA

This event makes my cheeks hurt. Literally, my cheeks were hurting I smiled so much. It feels so good to be a part of something so inspiring and full of positive energy. I've worked with the amazing Cris McCall (see past Tinlark Gallery posts) for a number of years now and every occasion builds on the last. But, this particular event was so amazing because it's a fundraiser for children in our Los Angeles. From the proceeds of every piece of art sold (275 were showcased at prices for most every budget) at fresh stART 50% goes to LAs BEST and the other 50% goes to the artists. LAs BEST provides a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for elementary school children ages 5 to 12 in the City of Los Angeles. All children need a safe place to be after school, don't you agree? LA's BEST serves 28,000 kids in 180 elementary school sites in LA in neighborhoods most vulnerable to gangs, drugs, crime and at schools with the lowest student test scores.
If you weren't there this year, plan on it in 2013!

I loved the red hat! Felicity Huffman was this year's Honorary Chairperson

I just loved Sharon Montroses' Animal Photography. Multiple copies were sold for the cause (see all the red hearts). You can buy your own prints on her site The Animal Print Shop. Amazing stuff.

Chairs were decorated and on sale as well.

I don't remember his name. But, we had some laughs. This was all about perfecting the rubber face.

The staff was AMAZING! Art was wrapped up and taken home as it was purchased. This is the wrapping center.
